Best of Sci-Fi
Still under construction!
Here is a list of recent science fiction novels I’ve read that left an impression on me. This is by no means meant to be a definitive list of the “very best” science fiction novels; in my opinion, trying to do so would be a fool’s errand.
- Tad Williams – Otherland
- William Gibson – Neuromancer, All Tomorrow’s Parties, Spook Country
- Neal Stephenson – Snow Crash, The Diamond Age
- Dan Simmons – Hyperion (and by extension, the other three books of the Hyperion Cantos: The Fall of Hyperion, Endymion, and the Rise of Endymion)
- James H. Schmitz – The Witches of Karres
- John Varley – Steel Beach
- Paolo Bacigalupi – The Windup Girl
